I am a Board Certified Labor & Employment Attorney, the Florida Bar's Specialization Designation and Certified Circuit Mediator.
I have decades of experience in Labor and Employment Law. I have also been certified by The Florida Bar as an expert in Labor and Employment Law. Certification is the highest level of evaluation by The Florida Bar of competency and experience within an area of law, and professionalism and ethics in practice.
My primary area of practice involves the Public Employers Relations Act. My practice encompasses all areas related to labor, including counseling, staff training, grievances, labor negotiations, local plan disability pensions, and strike preparations. I also handle administrative proceedings before the Department of Administrative Hearings and Public Employees Relations Commission.
My areas of counseling, not including litigation, includes discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and Florida Civil Rights Act, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) claims, Wage and Hour claims, including failure to pay overtime wages and other violations of wage and hour laws.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Miami, and received my Juris Doctor degree from Whittier College School of Law.
I am admitted to practice in the following jurisdictions: All Florida Courts, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida, U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Florida, U. S. Circuit Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit, and U. S. Supreme Court.
